Introduction to Glaciology
Juneau Icefield Research Program
Introduction to Geophysics

I teach Introduction to Glaciology (graduate and undergraduate), Introduction to Geophysics (graduate and undergraduate), the Juneau Icefield Research Program (JIRP), and a Research Learning Experiences Course (for incoming freshman students). I also co-teach a course on Field Logistics & Safety and the Earth and Climate Sciences Sea-to-Sky Capstone, through the University of Maine. Lastly, with other faculty and graduate students, I am co-developing a series of Earth & Climate Sciences field and in-classroom lessons for high school students. My teaching philosophy is focused on providing students with solid foundations and actual experience using the tools and methods that Earth and Climate scientists use in their careers. I also believe that education can be merged with legitimate applied or theoretical research or career-applications. I attempt to do this in my teaching, whenever possible. Below I provide some documents outlining my teaching philosophy as well as how my colleagues and I are working to continuously evolve JIRP as an exciting and relevant research and education program. Please feel free to reach out to me for further teaching or lecture material.
