I teach Introduction to Glaciology (graduate and undergraduate) and the Juneau Icefield Research Program through the University of Maine. I also contribute material to the Introduction to Geophysics course at UMaine. My teaching philosophy is focused on providing students with solid foundations and actual experience using the tools and methods that Earth and Climate scientists use in their careers. I also believe that education can be merged with legitimate applied or theoretical research or career-applications. I attempt to do this in my teaching, whenever possible. Below I provide some documents outlining my teaching philosophy as well as how I have evolved the Juneau Icefield Research Program into a new age research and education program. Please feel free to reach out to me for further teaching or lecture material.
